About jawahar Navodaya    Vidyalaya 

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is central Government Schools. Government of India initiated these schemes of making schools in the rural areas so that the students belongs to poor family can get quality  Education.

"The national policy of education"1986 envisaged the setting up of residential school to be called Jawahar navodaya Vidyalaya.

These are Residential schools and affiliated to Central board of secondary Education,New Delhi and having classes 6 to 12. Navodaya vidyalaya samiti is an autonomous organization under ministry of HRD which controls and supervise all the schools.There is a Jnv is Every District of a State. Till Date there is total 661 jnv's and Government is extending more to promote quality education among rural areas.

Main Objectives of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya:

  • To serve the objectives of excellence coupled with equity and social justice.
  • To promote national integration by providing opportunities to talented children, largely rural, from different part of the country, to live and learn together and develop their full potential.
  • To provide good quality modern education, including a strong component of culture, inculcation of values, awareness of the environment, adventure activities and physical education.
  • To ensure that all students of Navodaya Vidyalaya attain a reasonable level of competence in three language as envisaged in the Three Language Formula.
  • To serve, in each district, as focal point for improvement in quality of school education through sharing of experiences and facilities

Selection Process:

The Students are Selected through a Common Selection Test JNVST (jawahar navodaya vidyalaya Selection Test) Every year.

A student Can Enter Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya either in class 6, 9  or 11.For class 6 and 9 Selection Test is held every year around February month And If Students leaves the School After class 10 then Some Students are selected in Class 11 on the basis of their Percentage.
 
Every year around 80 students are selected for every Jnv's. 30 percentage seat reserved for Girls.

Other Facilities:

  • Jawahar Navodaya vidyalaya is a Resident school.They have their own mess where 3 times in a Day food were given free of cost. 
  • Every Types of Sports facilities is given here. Every one has freedom to play bit within a Given Time period.
  • Student were taken out side of state for playing games and for participating in Different cultural programme and Science exhibition.
  • Dance, Songs and other cultural programmes were Arranged every Week.
  • Inter house cricket competition ,volleyball competition, story writing competition, another cultural programmes where arranged as to extract talent of Students.
  • Every year school shoes school dress and Warm cloth where given Government of India.
